My stay at the Silk Flower Hotel & Spa was a mix of highs and lows. The location is perfect, sitting on a calm street amidst local vendors, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. However, I encountered some cleanliness issues and discomfort in the room that really dampened the experience. Overall, it felt more like a two-star hotel than a four-star hotel.

Rooms
5.0
The Junior Suite was fairly small and stuffy with only one lumpy pillow and a noisy fridge that disrupted my sleep. The cleanliness was concerning, with the bathroom in particular needing more attention. I did appreciate the staff's efforts to assist with the shower issues, but the low water pressure was disappointing.
Service
8.0
The staff were undoubtedly the highlight of my stay; they were lovely, helpful, and professional. Despite the challenges, they tried their best to assist, which made a positive impact.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated in a bustling area, with a vibrant local market right outside. Despite the wonderful accessibility, the narrow alley can have a lingering smell from the market, which detracts from the experience.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast offered was the least impressive during my Vietnam trip. It lacked variety and freshness; I was relieved to avoid food poisoning, but it made for a lackluster morning. A trip to a local cafe on the second day felt like a much better option.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities included basic amenities like housekeeping and laundry, but the lack of proper towels and the small, cramped dining area were significant downsides. The hotel had potential, but it fell short in several practical aspects.

6.6/10

I recently stayed at Silk Flower Hotel & Spa for two nights and had mixed experiences. While the staff were truly professional and friendly, the issues with my room and services left much to be desired. The hotel's breakfast options were ample, featuring both hot and cold selections, although the dining area was not the most appealing.

Rooms
5.0
I booked a Deluxe Twin Room but was given a double bed instead. The room was small and could have used better cleanliness, especially the bathroom that felt a bit grubby.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally helpful, though there were some hiccups with communication and service delivery, particularly regarding my room change that went poorly.
Location
7.0
The hotel is tucked away in a small alley, which provides a quieter environment despite the bustling streets outside. It's conveniently near the lake too.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was quite hearty and included a decent assortment, though the basement setting felt uninviting and cramped compared to other hotels I've experienced.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered several facilities, but the overall maintenance seemed lacking, which affected my overall experience. Room service and housekeeping were available but inconsistent.

I had a fantastic stay at Silk Flower Hotel & Spa. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore everything on foot. While the room was a bit worn out, it was clean and spacious. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing excellent service and even assisting me with my airport transfers and laundry needs. However, the alleyway outside had a bit of a strong local market smell, which was a slight downside.

Rooms

My room was spacious and clean, though somewhat worn. It was also super comfy, making for a pleasant stay.

The staff were amazing, especially Carlyn, who went out of her way to help me. They were always friendly and ready to assist with anything I needed.
Location

The hotel's location was superb, right in the middle of a bustling market street, but the narrow alleyway had a bit of a bad smell from the market.
Dining

I enjoyed the convenience of nearby street food, especially the delicious French bread sold by local vendors.
Facilities

The hotel offered great facilities including laundry services and airport shuttles, which made my stay even easier.

6.4/10

My stay at the Silk Flower Hotel & Spa had some bright spots, but it also fell short in certain areas. The location was ideal, tucked away in a bustling alley near Hoan Kiem Lake, though the alley sometimes had unpleasant smells from nearby market stalls. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made a positive difference during my experience.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a Junior Suite, but found it a bit cramped and stuffy, with only one bath towel provided. Cleaning could be improved, especially in the bathroom. The shower pressure was disappointingly low, despite the staff's efforts to replace the shower head.
Service
8.0
The staff at the hotel were quite lovely and professional. They were always ready to assist, though I was disappointed by the lack of additional towels despite asking for them multiple times.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was really a highlight for me, set in a lively alley filled with fresh produce vendors. However, I found it slightly difficult to determine the pickup point for airport transfers due to the lack of vehicle access at the front of the hotel.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a letdown compared to other places I stayed at in Vietnam-there weren't many options and I was relieved not to have food poisoning, but I missed fresh fruit and yogurt. I opted to eat at a local cafe the second morning instead.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel offered some basic facilities like room service and housekeeping, the breakfast area was cramped and not very inviting, which affected my overall experience.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at Silk Flower Hotel & Spa. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, especially Caryln and Kevin, who helped with my last-minute booking changes. However, the location was in a narrow alley with some bad smells from the local market, which was a bit off-putting. Overall, it's a decent place, but I faced some challenges that room for improvement.

Rooms
7.5
The Deluxe Double Room I stayed in was comfortably set up, but I had some issues on another occasion with a room mix-up and cleanliness, which was disappointing. The family room was a bit cramped for opening luggage, yet the staff helped out.
Service
8.5
The staff were generally helpful and friendly, which made a difference during my stay. Although I faced some hiccups with staff communication at times, they were mostly responsive to my needs.
Location
6.0
The location, while in the heart of the old town, was in a pretty narrow alley. It had its drawbacks, like the nearby smells from the local market, making it less than ideal for some.
Dining
6.5
Breakfast was served in a small basement area and didn't offer much, but the chicken pho was a decent option. Still, I wished for a better dining experience overall.
Facilities
7.0
The amenities provided, like room service and airport shuttle, were handy, though the room cleanliness left something to be desired, which affected my overall experience.
